Avast INI File Modification problem / issue Please help

Hello every1

I am new to this forum, but i have read a few posts about this issue, but they dont seem to be same issue im getting.
heres my issue

I keep getting a pop up saying ’ avast INI file modification’ asking if i want to change something which i keep pressing no, but at the bottom i either get PIN 2124 or PIN 3488 as the process
I am running Windows Vista x64 home and avast 4.8
from what i have read it is a problem with avast which is going to be fixed
but could someone please share some light on what the PINs are please and any other info would be greatly appreicated

To temporarily disable the avast self defense module:

  1. Right click the ‘a’ blue icon on system tray.
  2. Programs settings > Troubleshooting (tab)
  3. Disable self defense module

Which is the name of the process that appears at the bottom of the avast warning message?

either get PIN 2124 or PIN 3488 as the process

It seems that the filenames don’t resolve correctly for 64bit processes… I’ll try to do something about it.
