Avast! installs, but doesn't work at all

So, I’ve tried installing it, reinstalling it, restarting the machine, but nothing works.

All I get is this:

Ah, bloody hell, looks like I needed to link /Library/Application Support/avast to /Library/Application Support/Avast.

Might want to do some testing on case sensitive systems there.

Symlink worked for me.

Yep, it works, but it seems like a pretty nasty requirement.

Also, it makes me wonder if any other part of the system isn’t set up to cope with case sensitivity in the file system, and how avast! ends up setting one install path and attempting to read from another.

It seems like I’m trusting the protection of my operating system to a programme that doesn’t quite understand it, and that sort of thing worries me a little.

Hallo, this problem should be already fixed in the latest update.

Regards,
pc

Removed symlinks, updated avast! and restarted. Everything looks good. Thanks
