Avast Internet Security 2015 Downloading in the Background

Hi,

Just wondering why my Avast AV is downloading in the background on my Windows 8 PC. The same AV on my Windows 7 PC does not have this issue. By issue I mean that the AV is downloading something of the Internet (verified Avast downloading with PID in Task Manager and netstat) which is chewing up my precious Internet Data plan.

It can be the streaming updates that are downloaded.
What exact process of avast is doing it according to you ?
Have you used a traffic monitor to see what is downloaded and from where exactly ?
