Even though my LAN IP address range is setup in the Friends section of Firewall > Settings the firewall still blocks the other PC on my network, so I’ve had to switch off Avast Firewall and rely on Windows 7 firewall which doesn’t cause such issues.

The captcha is only there the first 3 posts, it helps to prevent spammers/advertisers to post.
Look in the firewall log and see what exactly is blocked.
Set a appropriate rule accordingly.
