Avast Internet Security 2018 - Web Shield Disabled

I’ve paid 2 licenses Avast Internet Security 2018. I have ten years os Avast licence.
My computer isn’t in risk?

What i have to do?

PS. I have the last version Avast Internet Security 2018 (licensed).
My OS is Windows 7 64b Professional on HP Probook.
I had the same problem last month, i cleared computer with Avastclear.exe, i installed Avast Internet Security 2018.
I used Avast licenses from 2008. I’m very satified with this product.

  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast…?

Now serious,
I have istalled HP Client Security. Windows Defender is OFF.
I use Opera Browser with VPN(sometimes activated)

I don’t know if i used Avast Premier before Avast Int. Sec. I am not sure.
Maybe my age… I understand that avastclear permit selection and delete.

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of HP Client Security…!!

Then:

  1. Download Avast Internet Security: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup_offline.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

After the steps you indicated, it works. Web Shield is active. Thanks.
But what the last executable “Avast Remediation”? It’s something you create last minute?

I hope this time Web Shield will function…
