my avast internet security has always worked well
yesterday I updated the avast software
i turn off my PC and when I returned to turn on the pc the computer did not ask for password instead, the screen was black
10 minutes after the computer asked for password
I wrote but instead of the message “Welcome” appeared “preparing desktop” when the desktop appeared the theme was like the windows 98
I went into safe mode and the computer worked fine
I restored the pc the computer worked ok
then I went to the avast web site and downloaded the new version… I installed it, reboot the pc and the same happened
so I istalled my previous version and everything works fine, with no black scren and strange desktop
I updated again and the black screen and strange theme returned
so I installed again the previous version
the only problem that I have know, with my 5.0.677 version is that the windows 7 action center does not recognize my avast as my firewall, antivirus and antispyware
can you tell me why my the new version 5.1.864 does not work properly and why now my action center does not recognize my avast?
