I tried every released version of AIS 5 but cannot install it. I get BSOD NDIS.sys. How can I install AIS??

We will need more information to be able to help you:

  • Which OS are you using? Is it up to date?
  • Do you use a firewall? Which one?
  • Do you have any other antivirus installed in your system? Did you have in the past?
  • Any other security programs that could interfere?

Win XP SP 3 Latest Updates
Avast 5 Free
Windows Firewall
No other Security Software

Avast Free runs fine. This prob occurs only with AIS.

Previous Security Software Zonealarm Firewall Free (9.2 latest) & Avast 5 Free (.594 updated to .677)

Uninstalled Zonealarm & Avast, deleted the leftovers, cleaned disk & registry with Ccleaner.
Tried AIS, BSOD NDIS.sys

Every AIS install I get BSOD NDIS.sys (I get BSOD when Avast is at the last part of install i.e Finishing the install)

I’m almost sure that leftovers of ZoneAlarm are messing your avast installation…
Any other firewall installed before ZoneAlarm?

Please, zip and upload the C:\Windows\Memory.dmp file to this anonymous ftp server: ftp://ftp.asw.cz/incoming

Post back when you did that.
