According to discussions from back in June 2011 and IPv6 Day,
Avast Internet Security 6 did not scan and monitor (protect) IPv6 traffic.
Question:
Does Avast Internet Security 7’s firewall scan and protect IPv6 network traffic?

Not in this build. But there will be another build relatively soon (also 7.x) and that one will have it (together with many changes in the firewall).
Thanks.
hey that’s good news 8)
Thank you Vlk and Avast Team!
Aside from Windows 7 Home Group connections, IPv6 isn’t yet prevalent in the home market
And the last time there was a real buzz about IPv6 was back in June.
Considering the above, it is understandable new versions of firewall software may not yet have it implemented.
However, since many competitors are providing IPv6 protection,
and IPv6 does provide a vector for malware exploits,
it’s good news to hear Avast will be covering this area.
[b]Two remaining questions:
For me, and maybe numerous others, the lack of IPv6 protection is what has prompted me to stay with Avast AV and Windows Firewall.
Once IPv6 is added you will gain more of my business as I will then be willing to purchase your full suite product…
… just remembering that I posted that a little while ago ;D

THANKS!
Hope the long term desires of us are coming to reality!
@Gooob that’s why I kept Windows firewall running too (firewalls don’t conflict)
@ logos = Agreed!
Side Question: Currently using AV Pro
if I decide to move to AIS, can that be done for a nominal upgrade price; or would it be necessary to pay full price for AIS?

When this new IPv6 build is released can you be sure to update the forums either here or in a sticky announcement?
Is there any general time frame goal for the release of this next build?
