I recently installed IS 7 to Vista 64bit (Lenovo ThinkPad R61e) and I get a blue screen. I cannot log in to Windows, 'cause the mouse and keyboard are disabled in SafeMode. I cannot find how to enable drivers in BIOS. I have sent a ticket but can’t get an answer for this current situation. It has started to bother me, this problem happened almost two weeks ago. Can anyone help me, please?
I had Zone Alarm and Avast Antivirus, uninstalled them before installing. Windows firewall was on before installation was complete. Now I can’t get into windows.
I can’t remember the version, I upgraded it from the program, I assume it is the latest.
Go into Safe Mode (hit F8 repeatedly) and run the Avast Uninstall Tool. Uninstall ALL previous versions and products of Avast you had on this machine and reboot in between each uninstall.
Reboot.
Install the newest version of Avast and reboot.
Get Internet access and add the license key for AIS online.
No, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. How can I get in to BIOS if safe mode with networking is selected (windows log in screen) and what is the right setting in BIOS how to enable keyboard and mouse. In BIOS mouse and keyboard are working fine, so I guess it’s about the driver.
Why do not Avast have phone customer care for paying customers? I’ve waited for days for their answer for my ticket. Not very pleased with this. In future I’ll sure pick some other service provider since this service sucks…
