Is Avast 7 compatible now with Windows 8 Yes or No , because i don’t know it anymore.

its an early bird at the mo. (meaning its early days of this new OS of windows 8)

Some have no problems while there are others who did but this patch http://public.avast.com/~rypacek/patches/ seems to have fixed those who did, instructions are all contained within the link.

Well lets put it this way, over several weeks at Microsoft, it passed the Microsoft compatibility certification. Whilst some are experiencing some problems (avast are working on those), many aren’t suffering any problems. Unfortunately in a support forum you only see those with problems.

Not exactly. I have 5 systems all running Windows 8 protected by avast! 7 Free.
All 5 system are trouble free. (32 bit and 64 bit)

More than that, avast! is the first free antivirus to get the compatible logo of Windows 8.
