Avast! Internet Security 7 ERROR

Hello guys. I’m having this problem for some time now… everytime I play Counter-Strike on a specific server, then I quit the game and rejoin the server I get this error from my avast! firewall and the game automatically closes by itself: NET_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINTR

If I disable the firewall the problem stops. Is there anything to be done? Please I really need help cuz it’s very annoing.

LATER EDIT:
The antivirus is also blocking my second video card. I can’t even set my screen refresh rate @ 100Hz. This sh*t is blocking everything…

Since no one answered yet and I could not find anything about that error related to Avast!, it could be somenthing about the game and other programs in your comp. Have you asked in Counter Strike Forum ? There seems to be a few complains about the same error.

Thanks for your reply iroc9555. I just formated my computer and installed only avast! internet security + Counter-Strike 1.6 and the same error occurs (Net_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINTR). I made some tests regarding my avast! firewall on/off and it’s 100% from avast!. Referring to the other problem with my video card refresh rate I’ve just solved it and I can surely say it’s not from avast! as stated before.

P.S.: I if turn avast! firewall OFF there’s not a single problem. When it’s ON that error occurs every time.

How is your Avast! firewall set up. Remove all rules and connect to the game and allow it, or contact Counter strike and find out what ports you need to have open.

By default Counter-Strike uses port 27005. I’ve set avast! Firewall to allow every connection so I really don’t know whats the problem.

I know you said that Avast! firewall is the reason for this error, but it could be just another issue that combine with Avast! firewall makes it to show up. I found this sites with solutions and troubleshootings for the WSAEINTR error.

Otherwise I am out of ideas since you said that you allowed every connection and still getting the error.

With avast! Internet Security 6.0.1000 this problem never happend to me before… Only when I’ve upgraded to 7.0.1426

I’m in the same situation and I’m sure it’s Avast that causes the problem. That error appeared immediately after i Installed AIS.
I already removed all references to Steam.exe and HL.exe as suggested here but that did’t help.

Help please, I really like Avast and I don’t want to uninstall it, but I like counter strike even more ;D

I tried everything i could think of, nothing worked. So finally I decided to uninstall Avast. Hopefully they will fix this in version 8
