Avast! Internet Security and Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Poor RDP Experience

Hi All,

I have just upgraded from the free version of Avast! to the Internet Security version 6 (the latest version) on my computer running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. Windows Firewall turned off.

  1. When I had just the free version, RDP to this box was not a problem.

  2. When I upgraded to Avast! Internet Security Suite, the RDP session was unworkable with the refresh rate of the screen very poor indeed.

  3. I uninstalled Avast! Internet Security Suite in windows safe mode using the utility provided by Avast. I connected to the box via RDP and there were no issues connecting to it via RDP.

  4. I re-installed a clean version (not an upgrade now) of the Avast! Internet Security and experienced the same RDP refresh rate issue.

My question is this: How do I fix this and why is this happening?

I have for the time being reverted back to the free version. This is not a good thing to have to do this!

Could you please try to uninstall avast firewall and retest it? Thanks.
