I had Avast internet security for a year when it went from $29.95 to 69.95 with 20 savings 49.95 I did not renew it lock up my computer and I had to delete it to stop this.
What is this a bug that was installed on purpose to try and get me to renew???
I’m sure your original copy was a single system license, now the AIS is a 3 system license.
If you don’t renew, it won’t allow you to get virus definition or program updates. It isn’t a bug it is simple if you don’t have a current license then you don’t get updates. But it shouldn’t lock up your computer that most certainly doesn’t happen and the program continues to function but without updates. I don’t know if you lose the anti-spam function or not.
So there is something else in the mix.
If you aren’t going to renew it then you should uninstall it and either use the avast free version and a 3rd party free firewall.
