Avast Internet Security-emails from safe senders going to spam folder AND.....

New installation august 2012. (7.0.1466) Some, but not all, emails from co-workers and friends on safe sender’s list automatically labeled as SPAM and going to junk folder.

AND THIS IS WEIRD: incoming email goes to inbox…email replied and then deleted…email in sent box has subject line changed when clicked on once in SENT box (but not opened)…new subject line is changed to show SPAM and a new subject line appears with some type of previous SPAM header message…then when scrolling down the sent box, all other sent emails have the subject line changed as well.

I don’t believe you mentioned what Email Client you are using. ???
I use Outlook 2003 and have not had this kind of behavior. :slight_smile:

The email client(s) being used are widespread across the office. Outlook 2003, Outlook 2010. The issues being presented have no boundaries as it relates to the email client.

I have a client with something similar…

When he’s sending emails to his customers (I think it’s usually when he’s forwarding on an email) the subject is replaced with something like this ** SPAM ***The GOLDEN TICKET to one night stands …?

Forgot to add… The customer is using Outlook 2010 with Avast security suite.

ISSUE: Sent Items - Subject >:(

  1. when I click on a message in Sent Items to open it up, the Subject changes in Sent Items and when
    the message opens up the Subject has changed in the message too.

I just Reset to Current view to see if that would stop but that did not stop it from changing Subject line.

Any advice would be appreciated. hope someone has a fix.
