Avast! Internet Security keeps randomly disconnecting (Big Red X)?

Keep randomly getting the Bix Red X. Click it on. Box Pops up to allow Avasti! to reconnect.

What is going on? It is happening about every 5 minutes of so.

How do I fix it?

The Box mentions if I OK Avasti Virus specifically to make changes to my computer
The Box Says:
User Account Control
Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?
Program name: Avast! Antivirus
Verified Publisher: Avast Software
File Origin: Hard drive on this computer
Yes or No

Click yes, restores green check mark; however red sporadically comes back especially when opening gmail et.c
