Avast internet security license queries

Can anyone help an IT amateur, with two queries about my Avast Internet Security license, please?

Firstly, I believe that my p.c. is currently protected by Avast internet security - when I click on the Avast logo on the bottom right of my toolbar, the Avast screen says “thank you for using Avast”, tells me ‘You’re Protected’, and that I have 5 days remaining on my license which is due to expire on Wednesday 4th October 2017. I am receiving daily reminder notices prompting me to renew.

But when I click onto my Avast account, under the heading Licenses, it tells me that I don’t have any Avast licenses yet. And Customer Support have responded to my email, to say they can’t find a record of my license in the system… surely I must have a license, if I’m currently protected?

I’m really confused, so am reluctant to go ahead with renewal, if I don’t actually have a current license in place - but don’t want to miss out on the special offer renewal price, either …what should I do, please?

Secondly, I have just bought a laptop, so wish to extend my Internet security protection to cover this device, as well as my p.c. - will both devices be covered under the same package for the same price, if I go ahead and renew?

Did you purchase a license ??? Was your credit card charged ???
If not, you’re probably using a trial version and the trial is coming to an end.
