Avast internet security - Network settings

With Avast internet security, when I turn off ‘Network discovery’ and ‘file and printer sharing’ settings, ‘Windows firewall’ becomes active. With Avast firewall already in place, when I then try to turn off ‘Windows firewall’, this turns on ‘Network discovery’ and ‘file and printer sharing’ settings…

Unable to keep ‘Windows firewall’, ‘Network discovery’ and ‘file and printer sharing’ all turned off.

Tried to customize ‘Avast firewall’ and in ‘System rules’ disabled ‘File and printer sharing’ and also ‘remote connections’ settings, keeping all other settings ICMP, IGMP, multicast, DNS, DHCP, VPN enabled.

But this also has’nt helped…

Need help to turn off ‘Windows firewall’, ‘Network discovery’ and ‘file and printer sharing’ …

No help so far on the issue. I’m thinking of disabling Avast Firewall and go with any standalone 3rd party Firewall and check it out.,

Don’t understand why this silence on the issue at Avast?

I have the same problem. Apparently its a windows issue.

My advice is switch to kaspersky. Kaspersky takes complete control of windows firewall, and tun it off. U cant change any windows firewall setting. Then if u turn off Network discovery, it wont be able to turn on windows firewall.
