Avast Internet Security Not Updating & SecureZone Not Printing

Hi Folks,

Avast Internet Security will not update automatically or manually. Also, problems with Avast SecureZone will not allow me to print.

Submitted a support ticket at the beginning of the week for the SecureZone issue. No response as yet!

What do you mean by won’t update ?
e.g. program or virus definitions won’t update and if so what error messages are displayed ?

Sorry I don’t use the SecureZone function, hopefully someone else can help on that.
What was the support ticked ID and we will try to get it some attention ?

Have you tried an avast Repair ?

If I remember correctly, it is “What is in the safezone stays in the safezone”.
That is why you can’t print from there.

Besides, the SafeZone has been replaced with the SafeZone Browser.

If I recall there may be some things that can exit the safezone browser if you have the settings set that way, one was downloads. So I just wonder if printing may have been allowed or not, if it was allowed. I just wonder if the OP has AIS doesn’t/wouldn’t the firewall need to be set for file and printer sharing ?

Neah, it was not the firewall.
That had/has to do if the printer is wireless.

But it was indeed a setting (IIRC).

Support Ticket No. 639062 re not printing in SafeZone. I’ve printed from my desktop computer to my printer in the past. It is just recently that it hasn’t worked. It freezes!? My printer is hooked up wirelessly. Windows 7 Home Premium.

I’ve check and the actual programme for Avast Internet Security hasn’t updated since early August [August 19, 2016, 12.3.2.280 Build 12.3.3154.23]. The virus is up-to-date with 161225-0.

The latest avast program version is 12.3.2280 Build 12.3.3154.23, so excluding your minor typo you have the latest program version, so no update currently available. But It would be expected sometime early in the new year.

I will try to attract some attention to your Support Ticket No. 639062 re inability to print from the SafeZone in Avast Internet Security. Please bear in mind the time of year there would be restricted staff on duty.
