Avast! Internet Security -problem

So, the version 7 came out, and I updated my Internet Security to 7. This is when the problem started. When I rebooted my computer, all it gave after logging in, was black screen and the cursor. I went to safe mode to try fix it. As I am not good with computers, I had no idea what to do, so I rolled back to 25.2, which also rolled back avast to version 6.

Everything goes fine, but now avast just gives me red cross, and important message, and two ‘fix’ buttons, that neither of work. I’ve tried searching, sent a ticket (which didn’t result in answer), but can’t find a way to fix it. Can any of you help me? :-\

yeah Avast rarely works fine when restoring previous versions of Windows … you’d be better off now uninstalling it completely, rebooting, and re-installing it. Use the avast uninstall utility for this, in safe mode, then reboot in Windows normal mode and re-install V7.

Thanks, but, if I delete it all, will I be able to download it again for free, since I paid it, and now I don’t have backup copies of it and license and download link has expired?
