They need to change their marketing plan for sure.
As far as I’m aware.
Historically, when these UI ads were introduced in the bottom 1/4, 1/3 of the UI it was only in the free version.
That I believe is absolutely fine in the free version as they aren’t obtrusive (I don’t live in the UI), but this really shouldn’t be in the paid versions. The ability to opt out of the ads in the paid versions should automatically be extended to the UI.
You are being very optimistic in thinking you would get a reply from avast in this short period of time.

yes, we sometimes show the ads even in the paid products. But you’re right we should respect your choice in settings and apply it also on banner. We will adjust the setting and let you know.
