I have bought Avast Internet security several days ago from the correct provider,
but it shows every few hours that I have a pirate version :-[
I have downloaded and installed the right file and inserted my licensedata correctly and each time the message shows up.
But nothing changes - what can I do to have it working correctly?
I’m running avast5 free for several years and never had problems …
Where did you purchase it ?
What version of AIS did you get, the latest version is 7.0.1426 ?
You should have received the license file and that is license.avastlic (not license.dat, etc.), double clicking on the file should insert the license for you. Trying to manually copy it may be what the problem is.
How did you install it, e.g. did you first uninstall avast5 free ?
I purchased it from Element 5 Digital River - that should be ok for Germany

No, I did not uninstall avast5 - could this cause the problem?
Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear.exe find it here and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for 5.x, 6.0.x and 7.0.x).
Now uninstall avast! (using add remove programs, if you can’t do that start from the next step), reboot.- 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility from safe mode, first for 5.x if previously installed and then for 7.0, once complete reboot into normal mode.- 3. install the latest version, reboot.
