Hi! I currently have Avast Internet Security loaded on my desktop PC and just recently purchased an HP Laptop (Win10). I would like to load AIS on this device as well - does this mean I need to purchase AIS again, or will my licence cover this device as well and if so, how can I download the SW on this new laptop?

It depends how many computers your license is valid fore. That info should be in the mail you got from avast when buying or in your avast account

hmm… I was wondering because when I log into my account there is an option “Secure another device” under “Easily secure all devices in your network” and allows to send the link to download. So, from this I assume that I can use this for my new laptop as well? And under “Licenses” it says "You have licenses available to use. " - if I cannot use this on my PC as well as on my new laptop, then does Avast offer some discount on AIS licenses for devices in my network?

Purchasing a multi (3) user/system license is the start point for multi systems (must be the same OS type windows), could be your best option as that could well be cheaper than purchasing 2 licenses.

Secure another device could also be for avast free not necessarily for another paid option.

That indicates that you likely purchased a multi-machine license. If it is for AIS, you should be able to install AIS and apply that license to the install.

Just be aware once you reach the 3 device limit, you’ll need to uninstall one a/v to remove that license from use to install that program on another device. Remove that device from my.avast.com as well.
