Avast IS 5 trail expire immediately

Dear Sir,

I would like to try the function of Avast IS 5 for Clean PC.

After installed, it says the license expired. Is it can trail to use 30 days ???

I think you had another avast before and wasn’t uninstalled totally when it was expired!
Then when you install the IS then it will tell you that it is expired!

Go there and download aswclear5:
http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Go to safe mode
Run it
Then choose to uninstall avast 4.8 if you had it b4 and also avast 5 free/pro/Is
After these choose reboot!

Then you may try the trial again!

But, I’m using the PC with fresh Windows XP (Testing purpose) and did not install any AV SW before.

Since, we are using Avast Pro 4.8 and AVG8.0 IS until now. As I know Avast IS 5 consists of Antispam function. We want to try its function first before purchasing the license.

And I tested in Company environment. So, does it detect the IP address for the licensing matter? And cased trail expired ?

The expire date is on February…

As I remenber while purchased Avast Pro 4.8 licensing before. We had tested the 4.8 trail version which has 60-days for trail.

I think Avast make their licensing method is too complicated now… many bugs… We are very hard to use its trail vesion5 right now… ???

Is your computer time / day / date / mnd / year correct ? if not adjust and restart

Since it is synchronized with ntp server.

My PC consists of 2 NICs. does it cause that issue ???

I suggest ALWIL to embed the trail license file into their Setup file to reduce troublesome of Avast 5 licensing method.

Otherwises, just stay to use the antispam function of AVG IS. :-X

Okay, I think I give up to use AVAST IS 5. Even, I cannot test it by their trail version.

Since, most of the forum members pointed out its have too much problems… :wink:
