Avast IS 5

Hi,

I just installed Avast Internet Security 5. I can no longer get to hotmail.com (just a blank screen),
or other sites that require me to login.

Media Player also seems to have stopped working.

Can you help?

May we know what is the version of your avast! antivirus?

And have you tried to ping hotmail.com through DOS prompt?

You may check your AIS 5.0 Firewall configuration at : avast! – Firewall – Application Rules – then you may see what application you need to allowed in to your machine.

hopefully can answer your issues.

Did you reboot after installation? If not, do so.
If you already rebooted: Go to add/remove programs, avast, and select the “repair” option. Reboot.

If problem persists, please come back.
