Avast IS 8 - Script and Behavior Shields activity issues on Win7-64bit

Hi.

On my new Avast 8, Script and Behavior shields are behaving strange! I have Win7 64bit Ultimate, and noticed:

  1. IE9 (64bit), Script shield works, Behavior is active, but no activity.
  2. IE9 & Firefox 19 (32bit), none of these shields are showing activity, although they are active!

I tried to disable/enable, add/remove these features, nothing has changed. Last action I’ll do, reinstall Avast! :frowning:

Edit: Re-installing does not solve anything! :frowning:

Try either…

Repair: Control Panel>Uninstall>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot
Clean Install: From “safe mode” use aswClear - http://files.avast.com/test5beta/aswclear.exe

This is the new uninstall utility for v8.0 and earlier. :slight_smile:

I did a clean uninstall, removing all leftovers using Revo. I’m afraid it’s something related with 64bit Windows OS. Because, I’ve another PC with Win7-32bit Ultimate. There everything has gone well!

Anyway, I’ll try the Avast removal tool and we’ll see.

Wow, now both shields (script & behavior) are working!! Without any intervention on my part! :o
