What is the Best Free Antivirus What is the Best Windows Antivirus
These are essentially the same as they are windows anti-viruses, there is no distinction to them being paid or the first category also being for windows, so confusing and misleading.
How is it possible for the best free antivirus not to be even mentioned in the ‘What is the Best Windows Antivirus’ category, well because all those mentioned are Paid versions, which kind of says that free anti-virus solutions can’t be the best; confusing, misleading and pathetic.
No matter how you take it there is not just one single antivirus software out there that can protect you 100%. You need to use some together to give you better protection.
Also this is not really a BEST poll it is which one the most people will vote for that they feel the most comfortable in using. One’s comfort is all that matters to most people.
Now the one that gives the most is still another category, where the most features is still another. Avast!5 gives the BEST for both 32 bit and 64 bit with the Boot Scan, 7 Real time monitors, 6 pre-designed scans that can be used and the list can go on for much more. Oh, the most important of all is the virus data base is updated automatically and it announces this to you so you do not even need to be in the same room to know. These are of course in the FREE version the paid has much much more.
Just in case you do not know, my Vote is for AVAST!5 for the BEST FREE version hands down, there is not another that is within the same category,
lets hope after release v6 these sites stop to ignore the Avast! for paid (Pro) and suite (AIS) variants …

I am unsure about how meaningful this survey is though.
Looks like an experiment in mustering fanboys. You can vote once per day in each category, so measures persistence more than popularity or performance. Looks like at least Eset, Comodo, Avast! have announced it on their websites.
Don’t know how they are doing it but the total number of votes cast is lower than the last time I visited it to vote.
