Avast is a virus itself - DO NOT INSTALL YOU WILL NEVER GET RID OF IT

I had no problems at all. Even though, it keeps on popping up that Adobe Flash is a virus. Can someone explain that? >:( :-\

Given the fact that you give ZERO information about this so called false warning, no one can investigate it.

Good luck in finding an antivirus that brings this level of protection without the occasional false positive.

Not much to work with here either.
A screenshot of the Avast Alert window with the Details option selected might help to investigate it.
Are you using the latest version of Adobe Flash ?
I don’t use it so I can’t speak from personal experience.

I notice that the post is devoid of any issues or reasons for why the OP wishes to remove Avast.
Therefore I assume the OP found no problems in running Avast, but wished to use it only temporarily.
He also fails to explain whether he had any other antivirus program starting with his operating system (aka “in memory”); it is not advisable to have more than one antivirus in memory.

The Avast Clean Tool is supposed to be used in Safe mode.
Most software vendors provide a Clean Tool (aka “erazer”) in case the usual method of uninstallation does not work.

A more proper time to complain (instead of putting logical questions supported by examples) would be if someone puts their question and believes they had not got helpful responses.
It may also be (not saying there are) that there could be other applications that while not amounting to gray-wear or viruses on the OP’s System, but which could still cause annoyance (software conflicts), and indeed some emotion. If someone has problems on their System, it is inappropriate to simply default to blaming the antivirus.

I have Avast antivirus running on my computer and for the most part it runs and performs its functions correctly.
On one occasion I had not updated the Avast application and need to uninstall and reinstall it - The Avast clean tool used, performed properly in Safe mode.

Not much point in trying to respond to a post/topic from 15 December 2018, especially as they have deleted their account.

Thanks. I didn’t notice the date, but others will see this Discussion and possibly my response; which I still believe is appropriate.
But, thanks for rightly pointing that out; I’ll have to check the date from now on!

It is really still the same issue, much has changed in 6 years and breathing life into an old topic isn’t great (the only reason they are likely to see it).
People are unlikely to see it is very old as you did.

So it is best to stick with your own topic.

Reviving an old topic is really never a good idea.
