Avast is blocking access to opensprinkler UI.

Hello
In one of the recent updates to Avast I’ve stopped being able to access my opensprinkler web interface. If I disable all shields for 10 mins I am able to access the page. The controller is on the local lan but it only serves a basic page which then loads the .js file on a remote server to generate the UI. The remote file lives at https://ui.opensprinkler.com/js/home.js

I’ve added both the opensprinkler.com and local IP to the exclusions and script scanning exclusions but I can’t seem to get the page to load. Anyone got any other suggestions?

I’m using the latest Avast free version.

Do you have avast firewall?

If so, try turn off port scan
Avast UI → Protection → Firewall → Settings → Advanced → Uncheck “Enable automatic port scan detection”

I only have the free version, no firewall enabled.

P.S These CAPTCHA’s are brutal.

Any updates on this, reading the forum it appears to be a common problem.

What exact shield is causing the problem ?

Hello
It is the web shield that is causing the problem.

I have placed exclusions for the LAN IP and for the remote javascript that is loaded by the web page. I’ve tried disabling script scanning and disabled script scanning option for Chrome, nothing helped. This has worked for years but something in the latest update has broken in.

Does it make a difference if you disable script scanning ?
