Avast is blocking all downloads

hi

just today i have downloaded Avast foe the first time, i can not download anything, i’ve been trying download from CNET download.com

my OS is Vista Home

The site you are downloading from may be known to produce threats. Try a different site or temporarily disable shields until you fix it

Sorry I should of said, I have installed Avast it was CNET Download.com
I downloaded it from
Since then I’ve tried turning off the shields and trying similar sites
Every download just fails

Does anyone have a solution please

Hi
I have installed Avast Free Version 10.4.22333
OS Vista Home SP2
I have Malwarebytres installed
I used AVG Free 2015 before
I had problems with AVG , so I un installed it
And install Avast as a replacement

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)…!!

Then:

  1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.
