Avast is blocking me from logging to my friend's box

Hey, I`m using avast free!
My operation system is Windows 7

I used to be able to login to a box my friend runs untill I’ve installed avast! and now I can’t, I use WinSCP to log in and it just says theres no response from the server.

Help please?
