Avast is blocking my website, help!

Hi,

I’m the owner of wxw.wishbeer.com and your antivirus is blocking my website - for apparently no reason. Can you please help check and remove the website from your black list??

Thanks,
Jerome

if you think this is wrong, report it to avast lab

You can upload files and report issues to avast here : http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php (select subject according to Your case)

Thanks. I’ve already done that a few weeks ago, but still no answer… :-[

do it again and add a link to this topic…

Hello,
domain is hosted on afraid.org. Any domain hosted on afraid.org can be used by other persons for dns hosting without your control. It happened for your domain, it was misused for malicious purposes - in that case, when nobody has control on subdomains of domain (DNS hijacking), we block the whole domain in order to protect our users. For you, the solution is most probably only changing the dns hosting and letting us know later.

Thanks Milos. I’m a beginner is DNS settings though I understand the basic. How come my DNS changed to afraid.org? Did someone else logged to my registrant account and changed it? Because that’s not where I set it up in the first place.

Thanks again for your answers, very helpful.

Hello,
on afraid.org anybody can create their own account and create subdomains to your domain. That’s why I suggest to change dns hosting from afraid.org to another one.

Milos

Thanks Milos. But how was it changed to afraid.org in the first place?

Somehow like going here: htxp://freedns.afraid.org/zc.php?from=L3Rvb2xzL2NvbnRhY3QucGhwP3VzZXJfaWQ9ODA3Njk4JnN1YmplY3Q9d2lzaGJlZXIuY29t

I have now changed the DNS to Cloudfare. How long does it take for Avast to allow my website again?

Hi jleouer,

I have asked for a new evaluation in a report sent to avast!.
Remember I am not associated with avast nor an avast! team member,
just a avast forum volunteer with a tiny bit more expertise in the field of website scanning for insecurities.
These decisions to unblock are taken by avast team members responsible for these actions, like e.g. Milos a.o.
Avast is known to act quickly on such reports, sometimes even with an upcoming update,
so just bide your time.

Thanks Polonus for your answer!

Hello,
domain will be unblocked in next stream update.
