Avast is blocking Steam from internet connection

Avast Premium Security 22.2 is blocking internet connection for Steam client. I have checked Firewall setting in Avast, and the Steam app. is not blocked. Still I always need to disable avast to be able to start Steam client.

Is your network set to trusted (Protection>Firewall>Network)?

It helped to set all networks as trusted. But it is kind of weird since the current network was actually already trusted before. Only one of the last networks was not trusted.

I’m having the same issue, but I don’t even have the avast firewall installed.

Why is my avast taking over my firewall. If I have my own firewall, thank you…

If you don’t have the Avast firewall installed, your issue is caused by something else.
Please restart Windows and check under components to make sure https://support.avast.com/article/Add-Remove-Antivirus-components/
Also, go to Windows Security (Win10) > Firewall and Network protection and see which provider is used.
