Hi gearsofwarhu, welcome to the forum

Have you tried a repair of Avast :

  1. Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Avast! - Change.
  2. Repair.
  3. Follow the instructions.
  4. Reboot.

Greetz, Red.

Yep, same error in event log…

/EDIT
I have installed avast on my second operating system(i have three on this machine, win7/win10/Linux Mint) and scanned the win10 system partition but it found nothing…

/EDIT2
“sfc /scannow” had no effect, i copied over a working kernelbase.dll from my laptop(i run avast IS on that one too) but i get the same error :frowning:

/EDIT3
The SHA512 checksum is identical on both systems for this dll…
