I’m getting a pop up saying that Avast is expiring soon, but when I check the license info, there are five months remaining on my license ???

Is your system time / day / month / year correct ? if not adjust and reboot
What version of Avast are you using?
Avast 4.8 is expiring soon.
Avast is trying to get you to update to 5.0 so you will not loose the remaining 5 months on your license.
