Hi!. Sometimes I see a red exclamation mark in the Avast icon on the System Tray, and it’s because Avast Firewall disabled. I click on Activate and it’s Ok, until sometime it disables again. It seems this happens during some Windows starts, not always.
I manually disabled Windows Firewall and it never became enabled again by itself, so there’s no conflict among firewalls. OS is Windows 7 x86. There’s no other antivirus, etc. installed.
I’ve already searched for “firewall” in the Forum but couldn’t find a similar case. Any hint will be appreciated!
Perform a repair of avast and if that doesn’t solve it perform a clean installation of avast.
Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:

Eddy and bob3160, thank you for your fast answers! I had no problem repairing Avast. As the issue is random, I will wait a couple days and will keep you updated. Kind regards!
