Several years ago as a result of a question I posted that while I liked
Avast it was a 2nd tier AV. As you might expect some took exception to that. I have always put great stock in AV Comparatives" tests, and there were several
AVs that outperformed Avast by, in my view, a wide margin.
Subsequently, Avast has made improvements in detection capabilities, and has become truly a top AV. It always ran well on my systems.
I am now using Avast Pro on my main computer, and it is performing flawlessly. I wish that purchases on special offers did not start the clock running until installed instead of when purchased.
Congratulations, Avast, for a top tier application that runs well and gives top protection.
