avast is not able to get rid of all virus'

i have run quick scan and a full scan and while Avast is catching some virus it is not catching them all. whenever i open a new window i recieve an error msg like this:
Infection Details
URL: http://urlfilter.vmn.net/vmnsbf/data/121
Process: C:\ProgramData\Anti-phishing Domain Advi…
Infection: JS:ScriptSH-inf [Trj]

when i check the logs it shows many are hidden in archive files that are password protected.

i called Avast support and said that ihad over 7,000 errors that must be correctec at a cost of $185.00

please assist and is this a valid offer from Avast

files that can not be scanned are just that, no more no less. it does not mean they are infected avast is just giving you a scan error report and the reason why

where are they located…in java cache or windows temp folder?

you may run CCleaner to clear crap and empty temp folders
slim installer no google toolbar. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds

where did you call?

downloaded and used CCleaner and it removed a bunch of stuff from Mozilla, IE, and Google Chrome. I checked performance and it was running in the 70-80% area. However, I got another alert from AVAST and when I checked performance it was down below 10%.

I called the phone number 866-951-7679 at www.avast.com. it seemed strange that he asked me to pay to clean this up. I am going to initiate a ticket and see what answer I get.

did you run AdwCleaner…and click delete?
what alert from avast?

The web page does say “free support”. ???

http://www.avast.com/en-us/support ???

i ran AdwCleaner last night then deleted the log. here it is:

Problem solved after running AdwCleaner…??

it has been over 1 hour and nothing has been found by Avast, so i guess the problem is solved??
