i have run quick scan and a full scan and while Avast is catching some virus it is not catching them all. whenever i open a new window i recieve an error msg like this:
Infection Details
URL: http://urlfilter.vmn.net/vmnsbf/data/121…
Process: C:\ProgramData\Anti-phishing Domain Advi…
Infection: JS:ScriptSH-inf [Trj]
when i check the logs it shows many are hidden in archive files that are password protected.
i called Avast support and said that ihad over 7,000 errors that must be correctec at a cost of $185.00
please assist and is this a valid offer from Avast

files that can not be scanned are just that, no more no less. it does not mean they are infected
avast is just giving you a scan error report and the reason why
where are they located…in java cache or windows temp folder?
downloaded and used CCleaner and it removed a bunch of stuff from Mozilla, IE, and Google Chrome. I checked performance and it was running in the 70-80% area. However, I got another alert from AVAST and when I checked performance it was down below 10%.
I called the phone number 866-951-7679 at www.avast.com. it seemed strange that he asked me to pay to clean this up. I am going to initiate a ticket and see what answer I get.
