I started using Avast about 6 weeks ago after trying Norton ,ESET. Avira& AVG. Now I can see why people love Avast. I thought it was just because it is FREE.But there are other Freebies.Now I think its because there is something special about Avast. It talks to you ,has neat colors & the ball that spins when the background is being scanned is ONE SUPER CUTE LITTLE TURD. Avast is PRECIOUS & I can tell that a fellow Eccentric created it.P.S It did the best on the Eicar test files too! It aborted the internet connection& I never even had to open the double ZIP file. Avast is ADORABLE I came up with a good slogan for Avast- DONT MESS WITH THE BALL!
I found avast over eight and a half years ago and I have never looked back and yes it compares well even against the other paid AV options.

I know its weird to say an Antivirus is "cute"because the main thing is that it protects the computer.It does protect the computer but that cute little ball makes a COOL bonus.I hear the old Avast used to have an alarm that goes off. LOL
