Hello, I just found out that Avast is slowing down my Skype to the point that it just freezes. I now that Avast is causing this because when I deactivate Avast shields the problem disappears.
Anyone having the same problem or knows how to solve it? :-

I’m having the same issue as well, installed Avast today and noticed Skype is slow and freezes sometimes when I get new messages.
Could you disable each shield individually and then report which shield is causing the issue?
Hello! Never mind, I solved the problem putting Avast in Passive Mode. Anyways, thanks for the help ;D
That means Avast is no longer protecting you. Your computer, your choice.
Seeing the same problem - it’s TERRIBLE.
It’s the File System Shield that’s the culprit.
We need this fixed quick!
FYI - I went into Customize for that shield and put Skype in the exceptions, and that works for now - but I don’t like doing that.
