My Avast IS subscription is coming to an end. Just wondering if I do not renew will it revert to the free version or do i need to uninstall IS, and install Avast FREE?
Also, if i uninstall what happens to the files in the virus chest? I do not want my machine reinfected.

It should revert to the free version.
If for whatever reason it does not, remove IS and perform a clean installation of the free version.
If you uninstall the virus chest is removed along with its contents - they aren’t restored.

If you’re running the latest stable version, Simply uninstalling the program offers you the option to revert to the free version.
It’s the easiest way I know of converting from a paid version to the free version and, it saves all your settings.
Ok, Avast subscription has ended, and yes it has reverted into the free version.
Now, as far as i can see the only thing i was paying £34.99 per year for was the firewall & SafeZone.
Unless i am missing something the only difference between Avast IS & Avast FREE is the Firewall and SafeZone.
Is this correct?
