Hi there! I seem to be having a bit of trouble with my version of Avast Internet Security. Yesterday, around noon, eastern time, I noticed my email was bringing up an error with my incoming email. This seemed unusual, but not out of question with our email server. so I checked with other co-workers, and they were receiving email fine. I went back to my computer, and thought it may have something to do with one of the shields. I disabled all shields, and sure enough, a torrent of both junk email and legitimate emails came through. I did some trial-and-error with the shields and found the mail shield and antispam shields to be the culprits behind the blockage. I have them disabled for the moment and I am sorting through the junk mail manually, but I would like to have full protection again. Is there anything I could provide that would be of help?
I currently use WLM, version 14.0.8089.0726 as the email client and my version of Avast is 11.1.2253. I don’t believe the incoming email server is required since I was able to initially access it via webmail, and the e-mails were in the server. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
