Avast is Unsecured and won't turn on

for some reason my Avast is turned off and will not turn back on. Any help?

Welcome to the forum.
Since you didn’t supply us with any real information, try doing a repair:
Ctrl Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove Programs) > Select avast! scroll down in the options offered and select Repair.
When finished, Reboot your computer.

This is my first post here, and I’m probably not doing this correct, but I hope someone can help.

This morning AVAST mistakenly removed my Photoshop 6.0. After an hour-long phone call with support, I did a System Restore (to 2 days ago) and got Photoshop back.

However, now AVAST is “Unsecured” and won’t let me start it again. It keeps asking if I want to allow this program to make changes to my computer, and I keep clicking “Yes” - but it keeps on asking!

I tried the solution mentioned here but got this error message: “Error processing packages: 0X20000011.”

I have Windows 7, 64 bit.

Can you help me, please?

Thanks,
Bess

As mentioned in my previous post, with very little information to go on,
that was an educated guess.
Now that I know that the error was the result of using system restore,
you’ll need to do a clean install of avast! to make things right again.
