I’m trying to help a friend with serious computer problems. Latest thing is that Advast is not in the tast bar. It’s on the machine but not in the task manager. There was some downloads that happened but that shouldn’t affected this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
the devil is usually in the details and you have given us little or none.
what system? what were the downloads? what other software was running at the time?
Has the PC been rebooted since and did avast! shut down upon opening the download or just not restart when the system booted?
have you tried anything to resolve the situation? If manually started does standard sheild provider run at all?
If all or most of those are no`s then I suggest going into add/remove and attempting a repair of avast!.
