Hello,
I created a task, for Avast to scan daily, at a set time. I now don’t want Avast to do this anymore. So I deleted the task. Avast, however, just keeps scanning, every day! How can I get Avast to stop scanning? I’m having the same problem on Vista and XP. I am (obviously, I suppose), using the Avast Pro.

Did you schedule the default tasks to run?
If so, you need to configure (remove) the scheduling…
Right click the tasks, choose properties and then scheduler.

I didn’t schedule anything for the default tasks, but I found that I didn’t delete the actual scheduler for the task which I’d created. Now I’ve deleted that schedule. I hope that’ll have stopped Avast scanning!
