Avast keeps blocking Pokemon Trading Card Game Online

Hello there,

When using Avast Internet Security 2019 it is impossible for me to connect to the servers used by the game. I have added all the .exe files associated with the game to the firewall exceptions, but sadly, this doesn’t suffice.

Does anyone know what would work?

Is your firewall network profile in private or puplic mode?

NOTE:The Network profiles control the settings which determine how strictly Firewall protects your PC.

Private: a lower level of security suitable for when your PC is connected to a trusted network such as your home or work network.
This profile enables better connectivity, and permits all communication within the network.

Public: a higher level of security suitable for when your PC is connected to a public network such as in a cafe or airport.
Because public networks present greater security risks, no incoming communication is permitted when this profile is set.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve already added those to the list and I’m already on private network settings.

did you reboot after selecting private?

Yes I did, which sadly doesn’t make it work either.

Does it work if you turn off avast firewall and use windows firewall?

This doesn’t fix it either, does that imply it’s something in Windows settings?

Or the game server …

I know it isn’t the gameserver, as it’s running and the problem has been occurring for nearly a week now. Is there anything else I could try?

have you tried checking your router port forwarding ?? - https://www.pokebeach.com/forums/threads/pokemon-tcg-online-port-forwarding.119046/
