avast keeps blocking popups

Hello

avast keeps blocking popup sites (URL:mal) with every website I open, even google.
I have attached logs that you requested from another topic. Hope you can help me.

Good, now run FRST again, check Addition.txt, press Scan and attach both reports.

Here you go.

First, go to Control Panel and uninstall following (skip lines that cannot be uninstalled):

  • Browser Configuration Utility
  • save oN
  • Java™ 7 Update 5
  • Adobe Reader X

Latest versions of Java and Adobe Reader available here → http://www.java.com/en/ and here http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
Make sure to uncheck optional offers.

Download attached fixlist.txt to your Desktop.
NOTE: => It’s important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Run FRST/FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needed a restart please make sure you let the system to restart normally and let the tool completes its run after restart.

The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
Note: If the tool warned you about the outdated version please download and run the updated version.

Done.

I am having problems with the following site, I am getting popups whenever I am on my Aol account as soon as I type something in my web browser

My settings are set to block all popups but these are coming up every 5 seconds so I am unable to use my Aol to do anything other than read my emails! Can anyone help PLEASE??? Thanks for reading

So that there is no confusion between the OP in this thread, I am going to ask you to create a new thread in this section of the forum for your problem (you can cut and paste what you wrote here).

  • MBAM
  • Farbar Recovery Scan (FRST.txt)
  • aswMBR.exe

After making your post, do NOT make any changes to your machine and a malware removal specialist will be along to review your logs and begin working with you. Also do not sync any devices to this machine or use any USB drives until instructed by the malware removal specialist. Thank you. :slight_smile:
