Everytime I turn on the pc I have to switch my home network settings to trusted. This is particularly frustrating since I run a small home server from my PC. Why can’t avast remember my home network and is there a way to mark every network as trusted in case there is no other solution? My pc doesn’t even have wifi anyway so i’m only ever connected to trusted networks… I do use a VPN and it doen’t recognize that too in case you need to know…
I also have this problem on both my laptop (wi-fi) and my desktop (Ethernet), fresh clean install of windows and avast?
What can be done to prevent Network having to be reset every time??
I’m having the same problem. Set it as private and trusted and every reboot it reverts to unknown and untrusted.
Me too. Any answers from Avast
I have the same problem, and it also shuts down my computer a minute later. Did anyone get an answer on how to resolve?
Same thing here, except what I have isn’t a router, it’s a gigabit switch. I’ve got five Ethernet lines plugged into it, one in from the router, four going out to various hardware, like my printer, PC, and music system. My actual router has only ONE Ethernet connection.
This is precisely Avast’s big problem at the moment… The programs are suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
1.
On my PC without a network, only internet - I have a list of more than 40!!! networks, and every time I restart, I get a message saying a new network… And I’m asked about trustworthiness?
When one of the Avast programs gets an update, it “forgot” the registration. After I then enter the email address and key, the program “thinks” it’s being installed on a different computer. Depending on how many updates there were, I supposedly have my Avast apps installed on up to 8! PCs.
At first, it wasn’t a problem; I just got ugly little red flags saying “too many devices”… (Menu / My Subscriptions) —
But now I get an error message after entering the email address and key - so AVAST AntiTrack and AVAST Cleanup Pro are currently unusable. After the respective updates to the other Avast programs, these will probably be unusable too?
