For the love of God, Avast is driving me nuts. I just updated it and now this [restrained curses] thing has disabled Yahoo Toolbar, saying it can’t be verified, and will not allow me to enable it.
Somebody kindly offer a solution before I uninstall the whole [mutters that suspiciously sound like expletives] thing.
Yep, if it is firefox 41.0 and or 42.0, firefox started warning about unsigned add-ons. Firefox 43.0 stopped them from running or being installed unless you modified the about:config settings (in Eddy’s link).
As far as I’m aware, later firefox versions won’t even allow the parameter to be modified. So the add-on can’t be installer or won’t work at all if already installed.
I have one such add-on and I have had it disabled fro the first day it arrived unannounced and unrequested .NET Framework Assistant.
