Avast lets Reveton through

Disappointed that Avastpro did not block the reveton virus (cheshire police virus) yesterday.

It only attacked (locked) one account. with limited user priviledges on XP and I have removed it now.

Combofix removed ‘qci.pad’

Which is interesting since this is a desktop pc and I don’t have any sort of ‘pad’.

no security program have 100% detection.... you know Microsoft release updates for there programs..... so does the bad guys to avoid detection, it is a never ending arms race
