hello im new to avast i have recieved a licence key number but i dont know where to put it. I cant find anything where i could type it in.
Can anyone help me please??
Right click the Avast icon - select about Avast - Bottom of the dialogue is a licence key button press that then copy and paste the licence key from your e-mail into the box .
hi, i dont have a avast icon either on my desk top or at the bottom of my sreen. How do i get the icon
avast! icon missing - As a temporary measure you can create a desktop shortcut for this file C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashDisp.exe (the avast icon and interface to the providers). Right click on the file and select Send To, Desktop (create shortcut).
What other security based software do you have that might block new startup entries, e.g. Spybot S&D (TeaTimer), AdAware (AdWatch), SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor (StartUpGuard), PrevX, WinPatrol, ProcessGuard, etc. ?
Once you have the shortcut double click it and you will have the avast icon, you should then be able to enter the registration key, whilst we try to resolve why the icon was missing. Insert Registration Key - Video

If you only created the shortcut and double clicked it to get the icons back, once you reboot they will be gone again. If that is correct please answer the question I asked.
i need avast licence key
Go to the SSL page version and register from there: https://secure.avast.com/scripts/register.php?lang=ENG. The Registration key is valid for 14 months.
